Tawny Valencia is a social impact strategist based in Los Angeles, CA.
As a first-generation Belizean American, her leadership style is deeply rooted in a globally wholistic lens - the good of all.
She has spent recent years consulting with a variety of burgeoning 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofits with projects focused on criminal justice reform, Black women's reproductive rights, voter education, coalition building as well as Indigenous human rights and representation.
In partnership with the founder and the former Executive Director, she co-developed DIGDEEP, the first Water Sanitation and Hygiene nonprofit in the United States. Through a wide array of both traditional and non-traditional efforts, Tawny lead development efforts centered on long-term strategy, and capacity-building for programs like the award winning Navajo Water Project.
As the former Deputy West Coast Investment Director for U.S. presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, she co-led fundraising efforts across thirteen states for his campaign working closely with the policy and communications teams.
Her management portfolio includes over 100 million dollars in funding for projects in partnership with companies that include Microsoft, Whole Foods, LUSH Cosmetics, Kohler, The Coca Cola Company and esteemed foundations such as W. K. Kellogg and The MacArthur Foundation amongst many others.
She is the mother of boy/girl twin toddlers and holds a Masters degree in Policy Leadership from Georgetown University.
